This is a new progressive trance/house song I wrote for Image-Line FL Studio 9, the latest version of my favorite music-making program! I was honored to write this demo song: it features the voice of my wife Jill, who also wrote the lyrics and collaborated with me on the melody.

Man, it’s so incredible what you’re doing with Fruit Loops. I’m learning about Fruity Loops and i covered “Intro” by The XX. I made backtrack using Fruity Loops 9 and recorded my guitar delayed lines with Cool Edit Pro 2.1. I can send you and you say me what about, ok?

I actually closed all the note stuff when it opened, but I let the song play… then I heard Jillian’s voice and said “wtf” to myself. Reopened it and there it… was you and Jillian. It’s really awesome to see you and others from the remix scene really getting it going professionally. It makes me quite happy :)!

Very pleasant music indeed. What makes it even more awesome is something that not many people can really “see” (not think about or wonder, but actually visualize that when they watch the song being played on FLS).
I’m not really a musician, just on a rather long way to become a professional programmer, and I’ve seen this song played in the actual copy of FL Studio.
What amazes me is not only the music and what you’ve managed to do with the instruments (including the voice), but visualizing THOUSANDS of program components being used at the same time to process, generate and exchange sound, which then gets passed to the sound card at the end of the journey, and the speakers, creating this entire song in semi-real-time…
Yes, I sound like a lunatic, but still, just thinking about all the things your computer does to create this song and how you’ve managed to inter-link everything in just the right way adds to the pleasure one gets by listening to this, at least to someone who can actually “see” it when the song plays…

Am I the only one who hears some major clipping?
Yes :P There’s a limiter on the master track, so there’s no way it’s clipping… but if you’re watching on YouTube you could be hearing YT’s own distortion/compression problems, OR if you’re playing the project in real time with FL you could be having some buffer issues.
